Gaines Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Daniel O'Callaghan and the entire Gaines Pediatric Dentistry team enjoy caring for the smiles of your children, whether they're infants getting their first teeth or children starting to gain confidence in their smiles. We also know that visiting the dentist can be an intimidating experience for children of any age, so we've done all that we can to create a warm and welcoming office environment.

We've stocked our office with fun amenities for kids, including TVs in our private treatment rooms and iPads in our play area. We want your child to enjoy visits to our office and to have fun caring for his or her smile. We love caring for the smiles of children of all ages, and we can't wait to meet you and your child.

I was born and raised in West Michigan and am thrilled to be able to live and work here. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we are busy at home with two sons and a daughter. I attended dental school at Indiana University where I graduated in the top of my class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Meet Our Staff

My name is Megan and I am a dental hygienist. Even before I realized I wanted to be a dental hygienist, I knew I wanted to work with children. I started my education at Calvin College and later transferred into the Dental Hygiene program at Grand Rapids Community College. I am excited to be at GPD to watch the kids grow, overcome their fears, and learn how to grow up with a healthy mouth.

Your baby's teeth will typically start to erupt when he or she is around 6-8 months. Girl's teeth often erupt slightly earlier than boy's teeth. Once their teeth start to erupt, start brushing them with a soft baby toothbrush twice a day. Most children will benefit from the use of fluoridated toothpaste.
