Dr. Chavala Harris was raised in Winston-Salem, N.C. She attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Bachelor of Science Biology degree in 2003. She continued her education at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry and received her D.D.S. in 2010. She completed her General Practice Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in 2012.

Oral Examination

Regular oral examinations performed by our dentists can help detect and intercept dental problems such as tooth decay, gum disease and bone loss. After evaluating your child's teeth, bite and the supporting hard and soft tissues of the mouth our dentists will provide recommendations specific to your child that will help prevent dental problems in the future.

Dental Cleaning

At Triad Kids Dental, our family dentists are committed to helping children develop good oral health habits that will last a lifetime. In addition to regular brushing and flossing at home, we recommend all of our patients receive a professional dental cleaning along with their oral examination at least every six months.

Dental Sealant

Report

Dental sealants are thin white coatings that are applied to the chewing surfaces of back (molar) teeth. The chewing surfaces of molar teeth contain multiple pits and grooves which are difficult to clean with brushing and flossing alone. These areas can harbor plaque and bacteria, increasing the risk of developing tooth decay.

Dental Filling

Report

As part of this procedure, the dentist may need to give local anesthetic to the affected area to eliminate any tooth pain. Once the tooth is adequately anesthetized, the dentist will remove the cavity and place the white filling. The effects of the local anesthetic will wear off within a few hours.
