We are a specialty optometric practice dedicated to diagnosing and treating vision problems that interfere with reading, learning and activities of daily living such as sports, climbing stairs, pouring drinks, etc. Dr. Jenna Williams-McDermed & Dr. Chi Tran use vision therapy to teach patients to use their vision across a range of different circumstances.
We focus on children, particularly those with learning difficulties, using visual training as a way to improve the use of his or her eyes. We also provide specialty care to help athletes develop the advanced levels of visual ability that is needed for sports. Specialty Vision Evaluations for all ages - while we specialize in working with children, adults often have similar vision problems and we are happy to help.

What We Do
Report
Our office specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vision disorders that interfere with reading, learning and other activities of daily living. While we also work with adults, we mainly see children in our office. To prepare your child for the evaluation, be sure to explain that there will be no shots and that there are no wrong answers.
Who We Are
Report
We are a specialty optometric practice dedicated to providing vision care that focuses on visual development and vision therapy. Our main focus is on children, particularly those with learning difficulties, using vision therapy as a way to improve or develop the visual skills critical to academic success.
Vision Therapy
Report
Some visual conditions cannot be treated adequately with just glasses, contact lenses and/or patching, and are best resolved through a program of Vision Therapy. Vision Therapy is an individualized, supervised, treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies.
Answers to Questions
Report
Typically our patients are 5 years old or older, and even include adults. However, depending on the vision problem, Dr. McDermed is often able to prescribe specific activities which parents can do at home with children under 5 years of age that will help prepare them for an in-office program of optometric vision therapy.
Success Stories
Report
When someone has an undiagnosed vision problem that interferes with reading and learning, they can experience some pretty dramatic improvement once the vision problem is corrected. She has made progress in school and is more eager to do her homework. It does not take her as long. In fact she is eager to get it done.
