Anybody in the household 4 or older who hasn't had an eye exam in the last 2 years? We highly recommend that you schedule a routine eye exam with an optometrist near you. And no, a school screening does not count. Some over-refer, some under-refer, and generally none include a health exam to look for sight-threatening risk factors that down the road could lead to serious vision issues.

The Practice

Eddington Eyecare is a full-service primary care optometry practice, including pediatric optometry, contact lens fitting, and the treatment and diagnosis of ocular disease. An inventory of over 300 frames allows a style choice for even the most discriminating taste. We do not warehouse frames so that we can bring our patients the latest models every few months as they are released.
The Exam

An eye exam at Eddington Eyecare will leave a lasting impression. Preliminary testing performed by our skilled optometry technician includes visual acuity, depth perception, ocular motility, peripheral vision, color vision, autorefraction (estimates your spectacle prescription based solely on your eye shape) and pre-glaucoma testing (yes, the air puff!).

Part of Dr Eddington's training at Indiana University involved a rotation at their world-renowned Contact Lens Research Clinic, where he was exposed to the latest evaluation techniques used to ensure the safest, healthiest contact lens fit possible. Eddington Eyecare can fit contacts for near sightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even bifocal contact lenses for those suffering from "mature" eyes.

Eddington Eyecare is pleased to accept many vision plans, including the following: TRICARE, VSP, Eyemed, Davis/FEP Blue Vision (division of Blue Cross/Blue Shield), Spectera (United Health Vision), Medicare, and others.
