Fantastic school for the entire family. I searched for several years for a jiujitsu school in Spokane and wasn't happy until I found this one. The kid classes are a ton of fun. The adult classes are challenging and at the same time foster a learning environment. No ego in here, which is common in many gyms, and every student and teacher is there to help you learn, not to beat you down.

These classes are great exercise and excellent self defense training! Without question, the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Eastern Washington. James Weed (Black Belt under Walter "Cascao" Vital) is a great teacher and an even better person. If you're looking to compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, there are several World Champions training at Newborn-Cascao.

Newborn Cascao Jiu Jitsu was founded by James Weed, a student of Walter Cascao the founder of Cascao Jiu Jitsu. Which is why it is called Newborn Cascao Jiu Jitsu. Walter Cascao is a 4th Degree Black Belt. He has more then 17 years teaching and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Some of his titles include: 2007 No-Gi World Champion, 2009 and 2010 World Silver Medalist, 2006 and 2009 PanAmerican Champion, and 2007, 2008, 2009 National Champion just to name a few.Walter moved from Brazil to Las Vegas where he has built one of the top teams in all of North America and now we are proud to announce Cascao Jiu Jitsu has arrived in Spokane.
