Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You'll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. You will be handed a 'care package' upon entering the office which will include some comfort items as well as shoe covers 'booties' that we ask you and your child to put on over your footwear in order to maintain the high level of cleanliness in the office.
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office which you will find in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer children's toys items as they are difficult to clean and disinfect. However, we will have kids "prizes" and other take-home items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste pre-packaged to take home.

The pediatric dentist may recommend nitrous oxide (more commonly known as "laughing gas") for children who exhibit particular signs of nervousness or anxiety. Nitrous oxide is delivered via a mask, which is placed over the child's nose. Nitrous oxide is always combined with oxygen - meaning that the child can comfortably breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.

We are so proud of our cavity-free kids! We want to give extra recognition to the children who are doing a fantastic job taking care of their teeth and staying cavity-free! If your child has a cavity-free check-up, they will become a member of the Cavity Free Club! We will give them a certificate, have them take a picture with the doctor, and enter their name in a drawing for some extra special prizes.
