About Us

Our school opened in 2010, nestled in the Hidden Valley neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota. Katie Rosenthal began as the Head Teacher in 2010, and Tara Jeanetta joined as the Afternoon Teacher in 2012. Our goal was to provide the close relationships and hours of a day care, along with the structure and curriculum of a preschool.

While we gather for songs and stories many times a day, most of our time is dedicated to free play. Our day is bursting with opportunities to explore, build, create, tinker, and experiment. Frequent and open communication with parents is vital for our program. We offer prompt responses to parent's questions and concerns.

Individual spots for each child and a durable floor that's ready for all the messes we track in. The Green Room is dedicated to dramatic play, and changes with each new weekly theme. The Yellow Closet holds all our dress-up clothes plus a secret passageway to The Blue Room. The two-level closet offers two quiet reading spots, which at times, may double as a tiger den, superhero headquarters, or a magical castle.
School Year Session
Report
The deposit is submitted to save your child's place. The remainder of the session's tuition is divided evenly between two payments (one on the first day, and one at the halfway point). Upon receiving your application, Katie will contact you via email to tell you about any openings we may have. If we have an opening that matches your needs, she will schedule a tour with your family.
