Who We Are

Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home was founded in 1924. Three brothers Ora, Noah, and Irvin Stegall started their business in a half double house on East Main Street in Richmond, then in 1927 moved to its current location on North 10th Street. Ora's son Oscar joined the firm shortly after the business started and Noah's son Eugene "Bus" Stegall started helping from the beginning, when he was 15 years old.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places our facilities offer the warmth and beauty of a fine historic mansion with the convenience of a modern funeral home. The charm and homelike atmosphere of our interior preserves the character of Richmond's Victorian period. Our chapel can seat as many as 300 people or provide space for the most intimate gatherings.
