Service Oil Company was founded in 1922 by Julius Aronson and his son Lewis. Raphael Aronson, the current CEO, is the son of Lewis, and has served in that position since 1961. Originally located at the intersection of Cameron and Paxton Streets, Service Oil moved to its current location at 3798 Paxton Street in 1952 where it operated a bulk plant with a storage capacity of over 1.5 million gallons of heating oil.
