Founded in 1935 by Harry Protas, the firm was established primarily as a business-oriented collection practice in the District of Columbia. Mr. Protas developed an expertise in the field of collection and commercial law, as well as in the related areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossession and creditors' rights.

Jordan M. Spivok is the senior partner in the firm of Protas, Spivok & Collins, LLC. He specializes in commercial and retail collections, creditors' rights, commercial transactional work, foreclosures, bankruptcy and business litigation. Mr. Spivok has lectured before various groups in the District of Columbia, and State of Maryland concerning fundamentals of civil practice and the collection and enforcement of judgments.
