Kim opened SweetRide in 2010 after being laid off from a local Oil and gas firm. Noticing that there were many typical ice cream trucks around town she decided to start a truck that promoted the fun of sweets but without all the additives and preservatives that are commonplace in frozen treats served on most ice cream trucks.
Working with local and Chicago based dessert chefs she developed her menu to impress the taste buds of the most discerning foodies as well as the simple palates of children. In the summer months you can find her serving up the yum at corporate and private events. I'm such a fan of our Lemon and Mango Italian ice but you will catch me with almost everything from our menu!
