My name is Steven Rizzolo, owner & primary acupuncturist of Boulder Sports Acupuncture. In the city of Boulder, Colorado there are athletes who range from the enthusiastic weekend warrior to the world-class professional and every athlete in between. No one can argue we live in an active city and as a result of being so active, on occasion, we do get injured.

My goal is to serve the community. My specialty is pain management, sports-related injuries, sports performance and relief of stress & anxiety. While these are my specialties, I also treat a wide variety of other conditions. Please take a moment to learn more about acupuncture, my other services and the conditions Chinese Medicine and acupuncture can treat.

Blood Testing
Report
Boulder Sports Acupuncture is excited to partner with Fuelary. Fuelary is a company that provides an innovative next step in taking control of your health and well-being. Purchasing a blood test powered by Fuelary will help you and your practitioner identify what, if anything, is off in your body. Fuelary uses "Optimal Reference Ranges " instead of standard ranges.
Athletes
Report
Athletes at all levels experience acute injuries, fatigue and pain that lingers. I would like to discuss how acupuncture can treat athletes' injuries and many other conditions like stress, migraines, PMS & irritable bowels with successful results. All o f these things affect the performance, recovery and potentially the long-term goals of an athlete.
Chinese Medicine
Report
In Chinese Medicine, the term internal medicine refers to those patterns where the source of the dysfunction does not occur in the musculoskeletal system. The body's remaining system affected could be: digestive, circulatory, nervous or respiratory. Chinese Medicine works to regulate the body's imbalances by restoring harmony and communication between the systems in order to achieve lasting health.
Testimonials
Report
Don't take our word for it. Read testimonials from some of Boulder Sports Acupuncture patients. If you are thrilled with your recent experience with your visit to Boulder Sports Acupuncture please submit a testimonial. I play semi-pro soccer and was having repetitive IT band issues due to a previous achilles injury (which was also not completely healed).

In Chinese medicine the underlying cause of dysfunction is called a pattern of discrimination. It is the pattern that creates all of your symptoms. At Boulder Sports Acupuncture I use an approach that strengthens and regulates your body's physiological functions by addressing your symptoms & underlying cause of dysfunction.
