What makes my acupuncture treatments different than the rest? People ask me all of the time, "is this acupuncture or is this Serene?" 1. Pulse Reading. As I'm taking your pulse, I am able to intuitively feel and listen into the pulse. I have the scientific background of pulsery but also use my intuition to help me diagnose symptoms of my patients.

In general, Serene will first ask about the patient's chief complaint, and will then offer a diagnosis of the state of the entire body based on a careful reading of the pulses and an observation of the surfaces of the ears. The patient's blood pressure will be taken. Diet, lifestyle, and all current medications are considered in light of this initial diagnosis.
