Wyckoff Heating & Cooling
At only 19-years-old, and married to 15-year-old Mary Rose Davis, Don Wyckoff Sr. enlists in the Navy to repair war ships during World War II. After three years of service, Don returns home and starts his job at Universal Heating in Des Moines. Don Sr. and Mary Rose go on to have six more children - Pam, Ron, Doak, Kyle, Kay, and Tobie.

Don Sr. starts working with his old Navy buddy, Kenny Horn, at Clark-Peterson Company, a large heating and cooling company in Des Moines. Don and Kenny Horn formed Wyckoff-Horn Heating and Cooling Company. They worked seven years without taking a day off, their first customer being Bob Stout of Community Builders.
