Is it true that base lodging has made deals with the local hotels to put students up at the Microtel Inn or Best Western if there is not enough room on base?. We've heard these hotels will take you at the base rate and that YOU will NOT receive aNON-A for staying at one of these hotels. However, according to JFTR you are entitled to the off-base per diem.
