Good is a fun and fresh New American restaurant located in a 178 year old stone house along the Mississippi River in Burlington, Iowa. Part of the Heritage Hill District and the recipient of historical landmark status, restoration grants and 2019's Best Renovation to a Facility Award, Good is comprised of a fresh hospitality team bringing new life to an old, awesome house.
We welcome you into our home to enjoy brunch or dinner in our restored dining rooms and deck, craft cocktails around our fire pit or a beer and a board game in the upstairs Lounge. The House

The Harper-Ekdale House was completed in 1852, which makes it the oldest stone home in Burlington, and according to some, the entire state of Iowa. We have an ice house in our backyard! Chunks of ice were cut from the Mississippi River and carried 3 blocks up the hill to be stored in the tri-level ice house.
The Lounge

Located on the second story of our home, the Lounge is the ultimate place to kick back and relax. During the day it's the perfect place to have a meeting, get some homework done or just chill with friends. At night, it's our bar/hangout zone with all the fun games and ballpit shenanigans encouraged.

If you're looking for a place to host a totally unique event, let us suggest our house! Whether it's a baby shower, work presentation, holiday party, bridal shower, birthday or anniversary, we'd love to invite you into our historic space to give your guests a one of a kind experience. Making memories over great food and drinks with old friends and new. At night, we serve up a small, curated menu of upscale Americana fare designed to please your imagination as well as your appetite. Reservations recommended, but not required. We're a big house with small, loud rooms so be ready to have fun, throw a few back, and meet some friends when you dine with us.

At Good, we freaking love drinks because there's nothing like sitting down with a friend and a cuppa. That's why we have a full espresso liquor bar. Our drink offerings are seasonal and constantly changing so come on in to see and experience our one of a kind cocktails and curated wine and beer lists.
