A & H Implement Company has been serving Altamont and the surrounding communities since the turn of the century. Mrs. Louis Hoffmeister, assisted by her son Ronald, operated A & H until she remarried in 1972. At that time another son, Jerry, joined the business in partnership with Ronald and they continued to sell vehicles under the name of A & H Implement Company.
In 1977 a new body shop was built and Ronald's son, Michael, began working for the family business. Extensive improvements were made to the original building in 1994. In 1996 Ronald and Jerry had fifteen employees and the business was incorporated. In 2008, a new building was built that contains a state of the art paint room.
