At Durham Valley Vets, we are dedicated to providing high quality medical care to our valued clients and their pets. Our goal is to treat our clients as we would treat our friends and families, and to treat our clients' pets as though they were our own. Because our clients and their companions are the heart of our practice and the reason we are here, we strive to treat them with respect, dignity and compassion.

It is our hope that clients will find our staff helpful, informative and approachable if they have questions about the health and care of their furry family members. Being of service to our clients and patients is the definition of our purpose and the mission of our practice. Our goal is to achieve the highest level of satisfaction to our clients, patients and the community we service.

Services
Report
Regular physical exams are an important aid in potential early detection of an impending issue. Keeping a record of weight, body score and overall general health can help the doctor to catch changes that may need to be addressed early. During this time the doctor can answer questions you may have regarding your pet's health and care.
Ozzie
Report
Ozzie has been a resident of our office since 2010. He came in as a patient with a suspected urinary obstruction, but it was ultimately determined that he had a lower spinal injury which affected his ability to urinate on his own. Due to the injury, his tail needed to be amputated, which gives him the bob-tail look that so many of our clients notice and admire.
House Calls
Report
We offer this service for clients who prefer the convenience of having a doctor come to their home. Clients typically request this option if they have multiple pets that need to be vaccinated, or difficulty getting their pet(s) to the clinic. Some pets become very stressed by riding in the car or by being in a strange environment.
Lab Work & Testing
Report
In our office, we are able to perform two different blood tests: the 4DX for dogs and the Feline Combo for cats. Each of these tests requires a small amount of blood and provides us with results in about ten minutes. Just like with people, some pets may experience slight discomfort while blood is being drawn, but the procedure is harmless.
Treatment
Report
Certain conditions can be treated or managed with prescription diets. We carry products from Royal Canin Veterinary Exclusive Diets, Hills Veterinary Diets and Purina Veterinary Diets. Extensive research is used to formulate each therapeutic diet to ensure that your companion receives the most effective and nutritious diet to address a variety of conditions, such as bladder health, diabetes, obesity, renal failure and gastrointestinal issues.
