We are so happy with our new steps, banisters, and wood upstairs hallway. We had the estimate by the next day. They were very responsive. Quality of the work was excellent. They cleaned up every day after working. Nice people. We're having them back later to do the bedrooms.

The staff at Virginia Top Floors is great. They walked us through the process and helped us choose the right color and finish. They were able to schedules very quickly. The quoted price for refinishing was very competitive. They made the process as inconvenient as possible and were completely transparent throughout the whole process. I really appreciate seeing the owners on sight every day and doing work alongside with their crew. The attention to detail and craftsmen ship is excellent. Our floors look better than when they were new and installed by the builder.

I commissioned Virginia Top Floors to install hardware floors in my new home. From the beginning, Ileana provided expert advice and suggestions. Work began on time as promised and finished on schedule. I couldn't be on site every day but Ileana kept me informed of the progress and even sent pictures. On the couple days that I did pop in, the installers had kept the mess to a minimum. I couldn't be happier with the service, process, or results! I cannot believe this horrendous company has any positive reviews. My experience with them proved them to be unprofessional, inept and rude. This company destroyed my hardwood floors because they were incapable of following directions and allow the coats of polyurethane to all dry before applying the next coat. Then, right after the last coat, they put my furniture back without protectors and caused permanent stains all over the floors. They were in too big of a rush to leave to care. So, after I had rented a Pod, had all my furniture taken out, had all my furniture put back in, paid them thousands

My floors look new again!
I am so grateful that I chose Virginia Top Floors to buff out our hardwood floors. We have a large dog who had done some damage as well as someone who used sticky cleaning solution on our hardwoods.
Ileana came out and gave a very thorough inspection of our floors. She was honest and told us that she thought the buffing would get the desired outcome. The buffing is less expensive than the sanding so I was very appreciative of her honesty and the fact that is saved us money.

This company advertises that they do screening (buffing) and re-coating vs refinishing (sanding) hardwood floors. While our family room floor has just a few scratches and dull areas, a board going into the laundry room has a small area of exposed wood. Because of this, Ileana insisted on refinishing the entire floor (sanding, staining, 3 coats of polyurethane). We told her we would accept however the small area of bare wood turned out with no guarantee. She insisted on refinishing (sanding) the floor or she would not take the job. Perhaps because she was in an over $1 million house, she thought

This is a family run operation. Having them in my home, clearing away my furniture, carefully covering draperies and advising me of what should stay and what should go....was a pleasure.
Ileana came by initially to look over the first floor of my home and do an estimate. She then proceeded to explain the process and the LEED products used by her company. The lingering and harsh finishes of old have gone green! The prolonged dry times and evacuation from your home are very limited.

My husband and I are very pleased with the floor refinishing performed by VA Top Floors. The owners are very organized and professional and took the time to answer all of our questions. The work was completed in exactly the time frame that was cited in the estimate. As one of the other reviewers said, the process was as close to dust free as possible. The finished product was even better than expected. I would certainly use this vendor again and recommend them to others.

Awesome job! We hired Virginia Top Floors to refinish our main level and install wood on the second level bedrooms. Everything matched. They kept a tight scheduled, were clean, respectful and stuck to their estimate. To our surprise the process was practically dustless, something that we were worried about. They came on a Monday and by Saturday morning we were all set. The crew is very knowledgeable, and take pride in their work. Great service reasonably priced and excellent workmanship. We had our floors refinished. They did a wonderful job! Very professional: estimate was exact price, reasonably priced, removed all 1/4 round floor moulding and replaced to match floor stain, on time for appointments, dust was very contained. They went above and beyond moving furniture, helping pack up breakable glasses, cautious with all our belongings. Ileana was very easy to work with and followed up to make sure we were satisfied. I highly recommend them!! Fantastic job!
