Ketsu-Ka Karate is a unique blend of 5 different martial arts styles including Karate, Jujitsu, Aikido, Savate and Judo. It was specially designed to provide you with the best self-defense techniques available. It was developed by Mr. Harry Hamzy, a native of Lebanon. For over 30 years he traveled the world to learn from a variety of martial arts masters.

Experience matters when you are looking for a martial arts instructor. You'll be in good hands at the Varasconi School of Self Defense. Both senseis, Tom and Bob Varasconi, have over 60 years of combined experience and have been teaching in the Bristol area since 1982.
Both Varasconi brothers have been hired as security experts and body guards for a number of Hollywood stars, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Kathy Lee Gifford.They have also stood as body guards for musical acts including, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Bad Company and many more.

Too many dojos try to promote you quickly so they can cash their checks, regardless if you've even made progress. Here in Varasconi School of Self Defense, belt tests are a regular part of our scheduled classes. So you'll never be charged a separate fee. We have established a belt system that will reflect your growth within Hamzy's Ketsu-Ka Karate.
