We are inspired by fresh ingredients and locally sourced seafood, and all of our pasta and sauces are homemade. Our restaurant & bar sits on the working waterfront in Stonington and is easily accessible from downtown inns, attractions, and ferries.
After 10 years of working and traveling the world as a private chef, I have finally settled down to make the kind of food that I enjoy, in a setting that is one of the most beautiful places in the country. Never would I have guessed the trajectory my career would take; beginning in New Jersey, preparing and serving food in Bermuda, Australia, and Europe, and now the culmination of my experiences being realized in the seaside town of Stonington.

In 2019, Andrew Chappell finally landed in a place that he's excited to call home: Maine. A graduate of Johnson & Wales' Culinary Arts program with a formal background in classical French cuisine, Andy brings over 30 years of experience to Fin & Fern. He's worked in private homes, chartered yachts, and fine dining restaurants in the U.S., Australia, Bermuda, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
