Our purpose is to help people be as healthy as possible so that they can remain in their home and out of nursing home, while enjoying life to the fullest. Our daily routine with its various activities supports participants in mind, body, heart and spirit. Participants from 20 Miner Street are welcome to attend weekends at the Center at 209 Elmwood Avenue, Providence RI.
Seniors 55 years and older and disabled adults 21 years and older. Individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, memory loss are especially encouraged to attend the Center because our program is specifically designed for you.

Three years later, we expanded our adult day services to a second location. Mindful of our goal to continually improve, we now offer some new and exciting features such as a personalized exercise room, computer lab, library, and class rooms for health education classes and support groups. Our offerings and services are expanded but our goal remains the same, to support the physical and mental health of all our participants.

The Activities Director schedules a variety of activities for each day. Activities reflect the interests of our participants and are therapeutic, meaningful and most of all fun! Each and every single participant in the Elmwood Adult Day Health Care Center has a special place in my heart. Their laughter, their individuality, and their gratitude are endlessly refreshing.

Today I thank God for coming to a place every day, which is open from Monday to Sunday in which I have found a large and admirable family. This place I consider as my second home. Here we are offered all types of care. A staff that has a great capacity to impart love and help us forget all the woes that beset our ages.
