The Schoolhouse was converted into a restaurant in 1962 by our parents Dr. Donald & Phyllis Miller. They wanted to open a restaurant where families could come together for a meal that was reminiscent of memories of their own childhoods when the family gathered at dinner time, eating around the dinner table family style.
It was a time everyday when the busy family could catch up on the day's events then the kids could go outside to play tether ball or whatever kids do, while the grown ups talked. What a great memory! Our menu relies on simple, all-American foods that remind us of home. Traditional entrees of fried chicken, roast beef, country fried steak, meatloaf, ham, BBQ ribs, baked cod, and salmon to name a few of our delicious offerings.

The Camp Dennison School was built in 1864 after the conclusion of the Civil War and was occupied from 1870 - 1952 as part of the Hamilton County School District. It was one of the first 2 room, 2 story brick schools built in the Midwest. It was designed in a cross construction pattern with gables containing Italianate style bracketing on the corners.

The Schoolhouse Restaurant is housed in a Civil War era building circa 1863. It was a two room schoolhouse with one room now used as the kitchen and the other classroom is now a dining room. The windows, the yellow oak floors, and blackboards are from the late 1800's. Large round tables with built in lazy susans can seat up to 8 people.
