Rising alongside our spectacular Meridian Collection, the Beacon Collection is giving you even more reasons to go east. Follow your heart to a home overflowing with style and amenities, in a neighborhood filled with places to discover. It's East Boston. But when you live at Portside at East Pier, you'll just call it home.
Services
Are you ready to go exploring? At Portside at East Pier, we've doubled our number of amenities, adding even more spaces. With the addition of our Beacon Collection, you can take a dip in an indoor pool, hang out on a rooftop deck, try your skills on a golf simulator and find everything else you could want.
Whether you want to walk the waterfront, explore the outdoors or experience some of the best food in Boston, there's plenty of action to be had in the East. With some of the best ethnic restaurants in all of Boston (and yes, pizza is technically ethnic), you'd be hard pressed to find a neighborhood with better "mom and pop" options.

Great views and the rooftop deck is great.
Issues: broken elevators (monthly!), people who don't live in the building having access to amenities, coffee machine is broken more than 80% of the time, rent keeps going up, gym not open during posted hours, challenging to find street parking, and poor (nonexistent) customer service.
Cannot recommend.

DO NOT rent from Portside at East Pier, I was treated horribly. I had an apartment chosen, but lost my job due to COVID. They did not give me my security deposit of $1000 back, even though most buildings are doing so in these cases(my Real Estate agent confirmed this). The Director of Operations was extremely unpleasant to work with during this difficult time, and the leasing office was extremely unresponsive to my agent. When I'm reemployed, I will NOT be renting here. I completely understand why so many of their apartments are vacant.
In response to the owner: You were actually quite unresponsive

False Advertisement! I moved in yesterday from out of state so I didn't get a chance to view before moving in. The place was filthy and extremely outdated. It looked like no one had cleaned, the outlets are not in place with the walls and my door handles are broken. 10/10 recommended having a walk through before moving in.

The view is fabulous, great amenities. Most of the staff are friendly. Stacey is very pleasant to work with as Frank, the property manager, is not at all. Do not ever except him to be nice to you in any way if you disagree with something. We try to never speak to him unless necessary. Maintenance is good for the most part however, we did put in a request to have our air looked at because it is not working and they simply refused because it's not warm enough outside. It shouldn't matter what the temperature is outside, if a resident wants something fixed you at least try. Our renewal offer was outrageous

If you're looking to move to Portside you will be in good hands, the staff (Edwin, Stacey, Vince, the cleaning staff, the maintenance staff etc..) is friendly, the location is excellent, and the surrounding areas are truly beautiful every season.
I have refrained from writing a review since I (happily) moved out a year ago when I decided to not renew our lease after 2 years. My boyfriend and I moved in end of July for a one year lease and besides the excessively high rent it's been a great place so far. We are paying almost 3,000 for a one bedroom no balcony and their prices seem to range greatly for the same floor plan from 2400 to 3000 which is rather irritating. Other than the high price the views are great they are extremely pet friendly and we got our puppy the end of September and it's been great so far. The newer buildings are pretty good with noise only once in a while do we hear our upstairs neighbors but then it quiets down we've never had

I've lived in Portside at East Pier for 2 years now, heading into year 3! If you could give this place and the team 6 stars, then I would. Having moved from the UK to Boston, this was the first place I came to. I was met with simple paperwork, an easy move in process and regular check-in's to ensure I was happy :)
All the residents at Portside are friendly and quiet, with the occasional bit of summer fun on the rooftop :)
Thank you Frank, Stacy, Vince, Debbie, the concierge team, maintenance team and all the cleaning team for all that you do to ensure every resident is happy at all times.

Firstly, I have never personally spoken to you during the whole time I was a resident of Portside, so the information you claim to have of us is not coming from your personal knowledge, and thus is complete hearsay. Furthermore, this is the FIRST time we EVER hear of anyone having any type of videos of our supposed arguing and "racially insensitive" wording, and I would like to add that this claim is coming from you, a person I've never interacted with. The claim you are making lacks any prior notice to us and is completely out of line-- it is an attempt to attack our character,

We toured Portside on a bit of a whim and ended up loving it so much we decided to take advantage of the 2 months free rent. The big sellers for us were the roof deck and the spacious apartments in building 1. We have been here for about a month now and are still absolutely loving it. Everything in the apartment works great, and little things we had to call maintenance for (a fridge light malfunction/adding speakers) were done quickly and professionally. The maintenance staff has been awesome. The other people who live in the complex are super nice too. The building amenities (golf suite, yoga

Updating this to two stars since the building did finally agree to take some measures to control the crowding. However, it should be noted that they refused to take measures until I asked both my city councilwoman and state representative to call them. Both of them were shocked that these particular amenities (roof deck and pool) remained open without any policies to help control crowding which was happening on every warm day.

I moved in the Meridian (50 Lewis) in December 2018. That is the "oldest" of the 3 buildings. I transferred from Germany so it was kind of difficult with all my stuff arriving at different dates and the time I wanted to move in the new building (where I was supposed to move in in the first place) was not quite ready. I experienced only great service from the leasing office. They went above and beyond. Debbie was responsible but everybody did a wonderful job I felt instantly welcomed. They offered me another apartment in the old building so my move was secured and I really enjoy my beautiful apartment

Awesome place to live, hate to be leaving. The amenities are unmatched by anything else around town. The staff are as friendly, responsive and incredibly helpful now as they were when we first moved in. The buildings and grounds are kept in excellent condition all year round. It is an extremely pet friendly community, when our dog ran away it felt like the entire building was out looking for him. It also has an indoor and outdoor pet run area with a dog wash and grooming station. The neighborhood has a lot to offer especially if you are looking for good food. They have also done a great job with

I've been living here for 6 months. While the location and amenities are great, the service is far from it. To start, my apartment has a downspout near my bedroom window that is extremely noisy which management was unwilling to accommodate or fix, leaving me stuck with an unusable bedroom whenever it rains.
In addition to this, the security is very poor. I had two bikes stolen from the garage which were locked.
Also, they lock you in on parking spaces for your entire lease, so no temporary parking.
Finally, if for some reason you need to end your lease early, don't expect an easy process. Rather

Living at Portside is like living in a resort. The amenities are first rate. The management is excellent and service is outstanding. The gym, stretching/yoga room, and the bicycle gym is kept very clean. The entertainment areas are constantly well maintained. The pool tables needed maintenance and the executive manager Frank McAdams solicited feedback and then had the pool tables refurbished and provided new pool cues promptly. The golf simulator was damaged and the management had it fixed in matter of days. The sales staff are friendly and responsive, especially Vince. The maintenance crew is

This review is for the Portside at East Pier Health Club.
When I first moved to East Boston, it seemed like gym options were lacking. When I stumbled across the Portside Health Club, I thought it was a huge stroke of luck. Touring the facilities, it almost seemed too good to be true - lots of equipment in a wide open space, a spin studio, yoga room, and even a pool! I didn't mind that they had recently raised rates, as $150/month for both me and my husband seemed very reasonable ($100/ month for individuals).
The positive is that the gym is almost never crowded - I was almost always able

I have a been a tenant at this building for 3 years; quiet young professional that paid on time, every time.
At first, upon my initial move in back in 2015, the leasing office was very pleasant. However, once I was locked into a lease- there was a dramatic shift in their demeanor and a significant decrease in their customer service. I do not believe that the leasing staff at Portside have an idea of the true meaning of professionalism and how customer service should be geared in the direction of hospitality.
They also find any opportunity to charge your account. For instance; I was once charged

Thank you for your reply, (funny that you find a need to explain yourself to
The world), though it did not require one since much of this was already discussed through multiple and extremely drawn out emails.
A review was written simply to let others know of my experience and to hopefully allow your staff where to improve, not for a further explanation.
At this time, I have closed this chapter in my life and I hope for great success for everyone at Portside.

It seems people's experience is varied but my husband and I couldn't be happier living at Portside. From the beginning, Stacey as well as the other agents have been not only been helpful but mindful of what's important to us as tenants. The quality of the apartment finishes, huge array of amenities and high level of customer service stand out. The maintenance department is incredibly responsive and their staff is professional, knowledgeable and generous with their time and problem-solving. Update -- Even more disappointed as time has passed. The keys are electric and recently decided myself and my roommate don't live here; we were locked out, after work, without a way to fix it until the leasing office opened and we found a "convenient" time to go have our keys reset. Also, the shaking and noise experienced on our porch from the people upstairs is so intense it has made more than 1 guest not want to sit outside because they're uncomfortable being on the porch with it shaking.
Original -- The view is amazing. That is the main positive thing to say about my experience

So, we see some negative reviews here... We just moved in 2 weeks ago and have had a GREAT experience.
My GF and I decided to relocate to Boston. Me from Manhattan and her from Maine. Needless to say, moving from two separate spaces to a new city can be challenging. The team at Portside (Debbie, Vincent and Frank) were extremely helpful setting the logistical nightmare that is moving from 2 cities. They made sure the freight elevator was available AND accommodated us when time became a challenge. They saved the day.

Had the worst experience of my life, dealing with Portside over the last couple of weeks. All the other negative reviews on Yelp, Google Reviews etc. are 100% accurate. The management and leasing office have no integrity and don't really care about their customers.
Moving from NYC to Boston, I was looking for a 1BR or a Studio apartment. Through a realtor's add on Craigslist, I learnt about a Studio that was available at Portside that fit within my budget. They showed me 2 studios - A & B. A was $2,075 and B was $1,975 per month. I really liked A. Since the building did not have

We currently live in NY and we had to reserve flights and hotel to come take a look at the place. Needless to say we were really excited to look at the place.
Our appointment was at 5:30pm, we took uber from my work in financial district at 5pm sharp. Uber took a wrong exit at the tunnel and we came right back to the financial district... At that point we knew we would be

Just moved into the Portside a few weeks ago and am loving it! The apartment is spacious and bright and the building is in close proximity to everything. One quick stop on the T which is steps from the building and you're downtown so my work commute hasn't changed at all. Tina the leasing office was incredibly helpful and patient as I was debating whether to move after having lived downtown for 5 years. John from the maintenance office contacted me on my first day to do walk through of the apartment and make sure all is in good order. Concierge staff is friendly and helpful. So far, nothing

However, when my wife and I moved from Indiana to Boston so that I could attend dental school we were lucky enough to find Portside at East Pier to call our new home for the next 4 years.
