Tucson Acupuncture
The clinic is on the southeast corner at Estrella Ave. There is plenty of free parking in our lot and on Estrella Ave., and we are ADA accessible. It's not too late to donate your owed AZ state tax to Backyard Healthcare Project (TACO) as a tax credit donation - and it won't cost you a dime. You'll get it all back in your state tax refund (up to $400 if filing individually, $800 for joint filers).

Our contribute page provides details on how this works as well as a link to donate via paypal. Thank you for helping us stay open! The clinic has re-opened with different procedures in place in order to stay as safe as possible. We will require you to bring and wear your own mask and wear it properly the entire time you are in the clinic.

About
Report
In the US, acupuncture treatments are often given on tables in individual cubicles. This is not traditional in Asia, where acupuncture usually occurs in a community setting. In our clinic we primarily use recliners in a large, quiet, soothing space.

Treating patients in a community setting has many benefits: it's easy for friends and family members to come in for an acupuncture treatment together; many patients find it comforting; and a collective energetic field becomes established which actually makes individual treatments more powerful. In some styles of acupuncture, the needles are removed after only a few minutes or after a half hour at most.
What We Treat
Report
Chronic and acute pain also known as the number one reason to see an acupuncturist. Conditions such as joint and muscle pain, nerve pain, bone pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, as well as headaches and other discomforts. Most conditions with a "pain" component to them will respond well to acupuncture.
Backyard Healthcare Project
Report
The mission of Backyard Healthcare Project (the non-profit behind Tucson Acupuncture Co-op) is to provide affordable, accessible, and easy-to-use healthcare options for everyone in our community through acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Our purpose is to improve the quality of life for our patients and their families by providing substantial support for their health, including relief of pain; reduction in the frequency, duration, and intensity of distressing symptoms; and prevention of the onset of acute and chronic diseases.
FAQs
Report
We get lots of referrals from midwives and obstetricians because acupuncture is effective for many pregnancy-related conditions. Also, there's a rumor that people who get acupuncture throughout their pregnancy tend to have calm babies. Yes, we use disposable needles. They come to us sterilized, we use them once, then we dispose of them in an approved Sharps container.
Schedule
Report
We will not be able to treat you at the clinic if you have any symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, sneezing, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or new onset of: fatigue, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, nasal congestion, or muscle aches. In addition, we strongly encourage anyone who is immunocompromised to continue to stay in the safest place - home.
