Great, locally owned pharmacy, where you are treated like a person and not just an insurance check. Carl, the owner, has a great, friendly staff and I have personally seen him go out of his way to help people get the medication they needed, when their insurance companies denied them. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but if he can, he'll try. If this were one of the "Big Name" pharmacies, they would tell most people, "Eh, your insurance doesn't cover it, bye.". I'ts an "old time" pharmacy, with candy on the shelves, and they call you by your first name. We are lucky to have them in the neighborhood

I really love this pharmacy. I gave 4 stars because I was given the wrong closing time on Christmas eve. They said 2:30. I arrived at 2:20. They were already closed. Of course there was no hope for the next day. It really reminds me of the old drug store on frankford Avenue many years ago. It was actually only a few storefronts down.

We have used all the big chains of Pharmacies, but now that we have switched to Holmsburg Pharmacy we have never been happier . When we need an RX filled there is never a problem and everyone is ALWAYS nice and extremely helpful .
