In 1987 Ben, Benita and Brenda looked out over the vacant land that is now Wenzler Preschool & Learning Center and visualized not only a place for their own family to build a dream but also a home away from home for the children of working parents. The ground was broken in 1989 and the center opened later that year with 24 students under the direction of Claire Walter.

Brenda & Benita are the daughters of Ben Wenzler and are the owners of Wenzler Preschool & Learning Center. Brenda (right) retired after 33 years managing the Paragon Supper Club and now enjoys spending her time hiking and biking. You can also catch her around the Daycare, decorating for all the holidays for behind a shopping cart keeping the supply shelves full.
Curriculum

We implement Creative Curriculum at Wenzler Preschool and Learning Center. It consists of forward-thinking, comprehensive, research-based and research-proven curriculum resources. Our lesson plans are aligned with State of Ohio's Early Learning Content Standards to promote school readiness. We have a well-rounded curriculum that includes language, literacy, math, science, social studies and physical well-being.

See what Wenzler Preschool and Learning Center offers for extracurricular activities, special programs and fun events. Our preschool class runs from 8:30 - 11:30 am Monday through Friday for children ages 3 - 5 years old. This program runs from Labor Day through Memorial Day. Preschool Promise is a preschool assistance program offered by the county to reduce childcare costs and give scholarships to those in need.
