Routine Care

It only takes twenty four hours for plaque that is not removed from your teeth to turn into calculus (tartar)! Daily home cleaning helps control plaque and tartar formation, but those hard to reach areas will always need special attention. Once your periodontal treatment has been completed, your dentist and dental hygienist will recommend that you have regular maintenance cleanings (periodontal cleanings), usually 2-4 times a year.

Infant cavities and decay are unfortunately all to prevalent in today's world, and parents should be very aware of how to best help their child prepare for lifelong oral care. The goal of preventative oral care is to evaluate and preserve the health of the child's teeth.

Orthodontics at Professional Dental is focused in two main areas: cosmetics, and function. The human smile is gorgeous and when the teeth are aligned properly the beauty is accentuated and we believe all patients deserve a cosmetically beautiful smile. That said the functional aspect of the teeth and getting them to fit in the perfect occlusion (location) is key to enabling our teeth to last as long as we do.
