If compassion is what you are looking for, this is not the place for you. When I went to my appointment for the cremation of my husband, I was met with a cold and uncaring attitude. I was not even offer condolences. 5 days later I went to pick up his ashes and once again was not offered any condolences. I think these people are in the wrong line of business. If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would.

Dunbar recently helped my family through the funeral arrangements for my father. Mr. Dunbar was very professional and said things that comforted my mother. He lead us step-by-step through was needed to be done. He came out to her house to meet with us! That's exceptional service. He met with the minister at the church to insure all of us were on the same page, and the funeral was very well run. Thank you, Mr. Dunbar!

They lie to your face. We told them my Mom did not have insurance over the phone. They told us to come in and we could discuss payment plans and options. We got there and they said they do not do payment plans and that we were unclear about whether or not she had insurance, when we specifically said, "No."
We wanted to take my Mother's body and go elsewhere and that's when they pulled out a bill and told us we already owed them thousands of dollars for their transportation services among other things. It took us far too long to bury my Mother and we had to skip our grieving process for a while

My father died in a car wreck almost five years ago and we used Dunbar Funeral Home for his burial arrangements. We thought they did an outstanding job. To us, they were part of God's hands and feet and ministered to us when we needed it. They changed what could have been the worst time of our lives to only the hardest time of our lives.
