Services
Women's Health
Specialized Physical Therapy offers comprehensive women's health services addressing pregnancy/postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence. Our certified therapists use manual techniques and targeted exercises to treat conditions like prolapse and painful intercourse. With expertise developed through years of collaboration with OB/GYN specialists, we create personalized treatment plans that combine orthopedic knowledge with women's health specialization to restore function and improve quality of life.
Dry Needling
Our dry needling therapy targets musculoskeletal pain through precise needle insertion into trigger points. This evidence-based technique effectively treats chronic pain, sports injuries, and movement impairments by releasing tight muscle bands and improving blood flow. Our licensed therapists combine dry needling with manual therapy and exercise programs to accelerate recovery and restore optimal muscle function for patients experiencing acute or chronic pain conditions.
Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy utilizes water's buoyancy to create a low-impact rehabilitation environment. This service benefits patients with joint pain, post-surgical conditions, or mobility limitations by reducing weight-bearing stress while maintaining resistance for strength training. Our therapists customize water-based exercises to improve range of motion, build muscle strength, and enhance balance in a supportive setting that promotes faster recovery and increased patient comfort.
Sports Medicine
Our sports medicine services address athletic injuries and performance optimization for both professional athletes and active individuals. We specialize in treating sports-related orthopedic conditions, providing prehabilitation for injury prevention, and designing sport-specific rehabilitation programs. With experience treating university and high school athletes, our team combines sports biomechanics knowledge with manual therapy techniques to restore function, improve performance, and reduce future injury risk through comprehensive care plans.
Osteoporosis
Specialized Physical Therapy offers targeted treatment programs for osteoporosis management focusing on posture improvement, balance training, and bone-strengthening exercises. Our therapists develop individualized plans that include weight-bearing activities, resistance training, and fall prevention strategies to enhance bone density and reduce fracture risk. We educate patients on proper body mechanics and safe movement patterns to maintain independence and improve quality of life while managing this progressive condition.

Lisa has been my PT for quite a few years. She has helped me live a better life by helping with my back problems. Im very blessed to have her in my life.

Lisa is the best physical therapist I have ever had. I was in a bad accident in 1995, and have seen more than my share of physical therapist. I have been a patient of Specialized Physical Therapy after surgeries over the past 6 years. Lisa has been extremely helpful, and my experience has been life changing. She really cares about her patients overall health, wellbeing, and comfort. She works with her patients to achieve the best quality of life, not only in her care, but throughout a lifetime. She teaches her patients how to stay mobile well after treatment with her. She also provides treatments

Lisa is the best! She is extremely knowledgeable about pelvic floor issues and takes a whole body approach. We worked through my issues slowly and methodically and I couldn't have had a better experience.

I cannot speak enough praise for the comfort and knowledge Lisa brought to my life through her incredible skills and lighthearted distractions on particularly tough sessions. She felt like family! She spent time talking, caring, and connecting on so many levels. She kept me accountable and didnt let me waste my money on her by not keeping up my end of the bargain at home (with my own PT exercise shed prescribed). She was honest and kept it real, but she never stopped encouraging and letting me know there was a light at the end of the tunnel and we *would* reach it. Ive worked with other PTs

I have to respectfully disagree with the reviewer who left one star. I have seen both Lisa and Michelle on and off since 2012 and have found both of them to be very professional as well as warm and friendly, making the experience of physical therapy much more pleasant and comfortable than it has the potential to be. I've always felt comfortable asking for their medical advice, even about very personal matters that might feel embarrassing to discuss with a physical therapist I wasn't so comfortable with; their advice has also always been very helpful. They are skilled physical therapists as well

Although I did see progress from my therapy with Lisa, her unprofessional, unreasonable manner forced us to break ties. While her pt skills are valid & helpful, her attitude and behavior could be rude & arrogant. Her focus, at times. seemed to cater to her needs more than the care and best results for the patient, if they didn't suit her somehow. To the contrary. another pt in the office, Ashley, is friendly, kind and patient.
