Eddie Johnson and his wife, Melba bought Holmon Funeral Home in 1948. They changed the name to Johnson Funeral Home and quickly made Newbern and the surrounding area their home. They practiced the principles of honesty, loyalty and concern for others. Mr. Johnson was proud to serve as President of the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association.

Steve and Pattye Williams are the owners of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home and have been with the firm since 1980. Steve is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin and Northwest Mississippi School of Mortuary Science. Steve is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Pattye is a graduate of the University Of Tennessee at Martin and the University Of Memphis.

Veterans Overview

The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
