My name is Dr. Lisa Thilges and I am the owner of Prairie View Animal Hospital. I grew up in the Chicago suburb of Elgin, Illinois. I attended Iowa State University where I received my B.S. in Animal Science in 2002. I decided to attend Iowa State University for several reasons.
I wanted to leave suburban Illinois and attend a university that was large enough to offer the opportunities and diversity that ISU has, but also had that intimate, small town atmosphere that Iowa is known for.I originally attended ISU as a Chemical Engineering student, but my love for animals drew me toward the veterinary profession.

I earned a B.S.in Microbiology from CSU in 2010 and an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from CSU in 2011. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I worked as a veterinary technician and volunteered with several animal shelters.
