Japanese Hair Straightening

This process is different from that of using relaxers to smooth out the hair. Chemicals are applied, the hair is ironed, piece-by-piece, and then rinsed and blow dried. The procedure takes two to eight hours, depending on the length, thickness and condition of one's hair.
