Veterinary Services for Pets and Livestock in Indiana
Our commitment to compassionate animal care has defined us since 2007 when Dr. Bryan Schmitz acquired the Hartford City practice. We expanded to Farmland in 2013, bringing personalized veterinary services to central Indiana. Our experienced team provides comprehensive care for small and large animals, leveraging advanced diagnostics and tailored treatment plans. We prioritize preventive care while maintaining 24-hour emergency availability for farm animals. With dual locations and ambulatory services for livestock, we combine modern medicine with community-focused values to serve pet owners and agricultural clients throughout the region.

Services
Wellness Exams
Our comprehensive physical exams monitor pet health throughout their lifetime. We detect early signs of conditions like dental disease, arthritis, and heart problems while discussing lifestyle changes and preventive care options tailored to each animal's needs.
Surgery
We perform soft tissue and select orthopedic surgeries using gas anesthesia for patient safety. Our surgical capabilities include spays, neuters, mass removal, and ACL repair procedures for dogs, cats, and farm animals under strict monitoring protocols.
Dental Care
We provide preventive dental services and treatment for periodontal disease in both small and large animals. Our offerings include professional cleanings under anesthesia, dental radiography, and home care guidance to maintain oral health and prevent systemic complications.
Emergency Care
We maintain 24-hour emergency availability for large animals with on-call veterinary support for small animal emergencies. During regular business hours, we prioritize walk-in urgent cases while referring overnight pet emergencies to VCA Northwood Animal Hospital.
In-House Labs
Our on-site diagnostic facilities provide rapid testing for heartworm disease, FIV/FeLV, fecal parasites, and blood chemistry panels. Immediate x-ray capabilities allow detection of fractures, foreign bodies, and internal abnormalities during the same appointment.
