She earned her doctorate from Medical College of Virginia before obtaining her certificate in orthodontics and her master's degree from Temple University.

Kimberly received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Lima Technical College in Lima, Ohio. She started her career working for a Periodontal Practice. Where she spent 17 years practicing Dental Hygiene and helped assist in Periodontal and Implant Surgeries. She also volunteered for the local Dental Hygiene Component in Akron, Ohio serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Trustee.
