Free Medical & Housing Services for the Homeless
Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless (ACHCH) has been dedicated to addressing the health needs of homeless and at-risk individuals in Alameda County since 1988. As a federally-funded health center program, we coordinate a comprehensive network of county and community clinics to expand access to culturally informed care. Our team works alongside contracted organizations to deliver primary care, behavioral health, and housing services directly to those in need. With a mission rooted in equity, we strive to end health disparities by integrating medical treatment with social support systems. Our services are available free of charge to individuals unable to afford care, ensuring no one is denied essential health resources. Through policy research and community collaboration, we advocate for systemic change to address homelessness and health inequities.

Our staff combines decades of field experience with policy expertise to inform legislative and community initiatives. Trusted by local partners, we maintain a leadership role in shaping homeless health care strategies across the region. Transparency guides our operations, with detailed service information publicly available through our website and direct outreach efforts. Our commitment to ethical care is demonstrated through free services, client-centered advisory boards, and partnerships that amplify community voices. By prioritizing dignity and respect in every interaction, we build trust with one of the county's most vulnerable populations. This long-standing dedication has solidified our reputation as a reliable and authoritative presence in homeless health care services.

I have been waiting for hours for them to come pick me up I don't know what's going on. I have covid and I have to wait outside in the rain for them to come get me and they're not doing it expeditiously. I really do not feel good this is horrible.

Fraud. Was told I would not be charged to see the doctor based on no income and living in my car. Received $283.00 bill today. Doctor told me I'm fine. I'm disgusted. They are liars and frauds. I would have never seen the doctor if they did not tell me I would be covered.
