Services
Landscape Design
We create custom landscape designs that optimize property aesthetics and functionality. Our process begins with one-on-one consultations to understand client preferences and site-specific conditions. Certified designers implement sustainable practices while incorporating elements like hardscaping, water features, and plant selections suited for West Michigan's climate. Each design balances visual appeal with practical considerations for year-round usability.
Landscape Maintenance
Our comprehensive maintenance programs ensure landscapes remain healthy through all seasons. Services include seasonal cleanups, pruning, fertilization, and pest management tailored to local conditions. We implement recurring visits during growing seasons to maintain plant health while addressing climate-specific challenges like freeze-thaw cycles and heavy rainfall in Western Michigan regions.
Hardscaping
We specialize in durable hardscape installations using stone, pavers, and concrete to create patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Projects incorporate climate-appropriate materials selected for freeze resistance and long-term durability. Our designs enhance property value while providing functional outdoor living spaces that withstand Michigan's seasonal weather patterns without compromising aesthetic quality.
Drainage Solutions
We design and install effective drainage systems to protect properties from water damage. Solutions include French drains, dry wells, and grading adjustments that redirect water away from foundations. These systems prevent soil erosion and plant damage while addressing West Michigan's specific rainfall patterns and freeze-thaw cycles to maintain landscape integrity year-round.
Lawn Fertilization
Our fertilization programs restore essential nutrients to maintain healthy lawns across all seasons. Applications use balanced formulas timed to West Michigan's climate, with nitrogen-rich blends in spring and slow-release formulas during summer. This approach promotes deep root development, enhances disease resistance, and maintains consistent lawn color despite variable weather conditions in the Grand Rapids area.

Paul and his TEAM was able to take our landscape of our home that was built in the 1880's and bring it to current times. My wife was extremely ecstatic with the outcome. The attention to detail is outstanding. We've used Paul and his TEAM on several of our properties and will continue to refer him to friends and colleagues. What these individuals do for the outdoors of homes and corporate settings are masterpieces. If you are looking for the best in season long care and design, give Alfresco a call. You will not regret it.

Alfresco designed and installed a beautiful Japanese garden on our condo patio. Their work is professional and thorough and everyone on the Alfresco team is positive and knowledgeable. I would recommend Alfresco to anyone seeking a beautiful landscape design and installation. And ... Alfresco continues to maintain the patio - we are happy to have the contract with them as they respond promptly and maintain our patio beautifully.

I am so pleased with our front landscaping designed by Alfresco Landscapes. We left the design and plant choices up to them. They did not disappoint! The variety of plants is amazing and we will have color blooming throughout the summer months. I highly recommend their professional services and kind staff. We had two unhealthy plants that I asked to be replanted in a different location, "no problem."

Alfresco handled our snow removal needs this past year for our 450ft long driveway. We've used 4 different companies and Alfresco has been the absolute best! Only took 5 years, but we've finally settled on who we will always use. Communication, performance, cost, everything was fantastic! We've told all of our family and friends to use Alfresco for all lawn care and snow removal needs...and some day when we have more disposable income, we'd love to have them design new landscaping for our property too!

We hired Alfresco Landscapes to take an over grown rock garden with dying pine trees. They came in and drew up a plan for a new look. They changed the topography with a bulldozer. Brought in some beautiful pines that we choose as well as a very beautiful Japanese Weeping Maple tree. Selected the most beautiful perennials. They brought in beautiful Michigan Boulders. Their crew turned an eye sore into a beautiful garden. It is absolutely gorgeous. Also, not only done to perfection, but all in one day. #extremelypleasedinRockford
