Dr. Eric Berkner found he had a passion for helping people from a young age, and channeled this passion through his studies of dentistry. Originally from Virginia, he has made Oregon his home since falling in love with the Pacific Northwest after studying at OSU and then OHSU for his doctorate. Dr. Berkner started Ponderosa Dental Arts in 2013, after a 2-year fellowship with a mentor in Missoula, Montana.

Built in 1950, our charming 3,500 square foot facility is conveniently located near the Hilltop Mall, on Molalla Avenue. I arrived for an original consultation for 2 front teeth needing implants .
Dr Berkener was the most genuine and thorough dentists I have been to .
His consultation was priceless and his integrity professionally as well as personally is second to none.
I walked out feeling relieved I was given the facts of my condition needing 2 front teeth extractions and implants which corroborated with OHSU evaluations as well.
If you are seeking a genuine evaluation and treatment plan you will never do better here and will leave with assurance you have received the facts and prognosis needed

While the staff is great. My dental work has not been. 1 tooth was misdiagnosed and had to get pulled after weeks of pain (thought it was just a small mistake). I went in again for a crown. The doctor had to routinely put the cap on 2 weeks after it was ordered (normal wait). When he put it in he said bite down and left immediately. I was trying to tell him the tooth above is gone so there is nothing to bite down on crown. Long story short it was compressed down enough which has les to weeks of pain. Just pick another spot. Not worth all the rework.

Fantastic Experience. This was a wonderful visit from reception, to hygienist, to doctor. The entire team was friendly and professional. My work was completed quickly and efficiently. I was given a price quote BEFORE work was done with an explanation of my coverage and what my out of pocket expense would be. I was able to get in in a timely manner. I highly recommend this office to anyone seeking a new dental office.

What an amazing team! Every single person with whom I interacted was genuine, friendly, and extremely helpful. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a while and everyone made me feel comfortable in spite of that. I asked a lot of questions of various staff and they were all nice enough to spend time explaining and assisting me in understanding. They also offer quite a few different services. This isn't your average dental office. I appreciate all of you! Highly recommend! :)

The staff and dental care at Ponderosa Dental Arts is amazing! From the front office staff, to the dental assistants, hygienists, and Dr. Berkner, they truly care about each pt and spend time answering questions For them. I went In last summer for jaw pain and they were able to see me that same day, and they were compassionate and helped me get back to feeling better! Highly recommend Ponderosa Dental Arts!

My wife and I have both had routine cleanings and dental repair work done at Ponderosa. The staff is all very inviting and friendly. Not to mention knowledgeable regarding the insurance questions I had. Their methods are very up to date and I was really impressed with how painless they were able to perform their work when I got a filling taken care of. This will be my families Dentist for years to come.

The staff at Ponderosa Dental was incredible. We took our son in for his first ever appointment and they eased him into everything. He left with a smile on his face and tells everybody about getting his teeth cleaned. My wife and I had skipped making dental appointments for a few years due to a fear of the experience, but the team there made it perfect. It's wonderful to have a local family dentistry that are patient and extremely friendly. Recommended to everyone!
