The Birth Center Holistic Women's Health Care
The Birth Center is more than just a place for pregnancy and birth. We offer a full range of GYN services including annual exams, Pap smears, STD testing, birth control, and more. For low-risk pregnancies, labor and birth does not need to occur in a hospital setting. Our beautiful birthing rooms were designed to be comfortable and provide a relaxing and safe environment for low-risk pregnant patients.

We offer birthing tubs for use in labor and/or birth. Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) provide a full range of lactation services to assist with lactation-related infant feeding issues. Our postpartum care includes more than just the standard six week follow-up visit.

About
Report
Women have the right to seek care that is medically safe, that fits their lifestyle, and that recognizes and respects their individual, physical, spiritual, psychological, and economic needs. Women and their families have the right and responsibility to assume an active role in their own healthcare.
Services
Report
Birth centers provide an alternative to childbirth in a hospital. Women are empowered and given control during their labor and delivery. They wear their own clothes, eat and drink during labor, and walk around. Women can bring as many support people as they like. The birthing mother labors in the shower or birth tub, on birth balls, in a birthing rocker, on a birthing stool, or in any other position that is comfortable for her.
Nurses
Report
Peggy has been working with birthing moms and dads for over 30 years. She received her RN from Bryn Mawr Hospital and worked there as a labor, delivery and postpartum nurse. Her love of teaching was obvious even then, when she developed classes in Baby Care and Breastfeeding for the couples at the hospital.
