Gus & George’s is the epitome of classic American family restaurants. It’s no frills, it’s bad lighting, it’s mediocre but delicious food, it’s bread baskets with packaged butter (or margarine if you’d like). It’s nostalgia.
I miss the old interior with the dark wood. Get a booth by the windows if you can (the lighting is far superior). Their Delmonico steak with fries and their greeek salads are not to be trifled with.

Great coffee. Great service. Food was just ok. The fried oysters are small, and the seafood platter had the same drawbacks as last year: the crab cake and the fried flounder were overdone and tasteless. The baked potatoe didn't come with butter, and my friends steak was overdone but still had flavor. If the service and atmosphere weren't as good as they were, I would have only given them 3 stars.

Decided to finally try this place and so happy I did. The place was super clean. Our waitress could not have been any nicer. They were all very friendly and efficient. The food, homemade Manhattan clam chowder, absolutely delicious. My son had a Greek burger, made with fresh ground beef, not frozen pre made burgers. He also said his fries were the best. Grandsons had pizza, which they ate every bite. I also had the antipasto salad, which was amazing and huge. Price was extremely affordable for all of us. Can’t wait to go back again and when I do I will try some homemade baklava!

Went for lunch with my Mom and brother. They have been going there for quite a while...they love going there.🙂 Meatloaf on Wednesdays is SO good. They give you a heaping helping of meatloaf and mashed potatoes and gravy! Oh boy, good stuff. Betsy was our waitress. She was wonderful. Friendly and pleasantly attentive. I love going there now too! 😁 Oh, the sweet tea is mighty fine too.

It was our first time here and we really enjoyed our steaks, especially the marinated Romenian steak. It was super juicy & tender! In my country we call it "Churrasco" it is the best piece of meat you can eat The service was great our server was very polite and attentive we will definitely come back ✌️

Been here all my life and have passed this place a billion times and never been. Same owners and menu that was at the old Virginia Steakhouse that used to be on First Colonial Road...brought back many fond memories of dinners with family who are no longer with us. Food was great and service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food, from the fresh salads, to the entree's. Big portion sizes so plan to get full or be taking home some dinner. Which to me there's nothing wrong with. A great atmosphere kind friendly staff food was quick nice and hot. My grandmother was visiting town. In her old age she can't get around much more. But let me tell you she enjoys a good bite. And let's say she Enjoyed her bite enough to say we're going back this weekend for dinner. 😂 Keep it up guys at G + G .

First off…. I need a wheelbarrow….lol. Nice and quiet place. Wait staff was on point. My glass never emptied. Wait time was minimum on my order. As you see from my serving platter you get plenty of food. The flavor reminded me of grandma’s cooking. I ordered the Spaghetti Combination, it comes with pepperoni, meatballs, mushrooms and meat sauce. I added raw onion for flavor (done this since I was a kid). Price is reasonable. Bring the family for some good old cooking.

I have been delivering magazines to this spot for a couple years now. Every month I go in and switch the books in the foyer. The smell, the atmosphere, just the entire vibe invites you in to enjoy a meal. I was never hungry by this stop on my route because it’s towards the end. I love to eat. I stop earlier in the route. The stars were aligned right eventually though and I finally got to try it. I was impressed by everything. I started simple, and with future trips will try more and more of the menu. Spaghetti was very good, not my Italian family recipe but very good for restaurant. The soup
