Dr. Becker has advanced training in occlusion and complex restorative dentistry from leading post-graduate institutions. Dr. Becker is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. He regularly participates in continuing education seminars at over three times the rate mandated by the Illinois Board of Dentistry.
Dr. Becker began his career serving his country as a dental officer in the United States Navy, serving a total of 23 years in active and reserve duty. He then went into private practice here in Hoffman Estates. At that time, he decided to pursue advanced training in complex restorative dentistry, completing a 5-year curriculum with the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.

Dr. Becker discovered his passion for helping people at an early age while watching his father, a U.S. Navy dentist, help his patients achieve a lifetime of good oral health. Dr. Becker's goals are to provide optimum dental care, teach patients how to take care of their mouths, and minimize dental problems and the cost of care.

Leah is your first point of contact with our practice. She has been an office manager and administrator for over nine years. Her favorite part of the job is the relationships she establishes with patients. She works diligently to ensure our patients are comfortable. She continues to work with patients after they leave to ensure they receive any needed follow-up care.

During your first visit to Poplar Crossing Dental, our priorities are to make you feel welcome and comfortable and to assess your oral health through a comprehensive 1 hour examination. She will escort you on a tour of our office so you can see our relaxing environment and the advanced technology we use to diagnose, treat, and prevent oral health issues.

After previous bad dental experiences, Kathy disliked everything about dentistry. But she also disliked her teeth and tried to hide them when she smiled. She asked Dr. Becker for a presentable smile and a healthy mouth. After taking photographs and digital x-rays of Kathy's teeth, Dr. Becker showed her models of potential new smiles so she could provide input in the design process.
