In the simplest terms, a subluxation or misalignment within the spine is when a spinal bone moves out of proper postition which then creates nerve pressure and irriation and leads to inflammation, irritation, and eventually pain. The spinal nerve which is labeled in the diagram below is the most impacted by misalignments within the spine.
