A building in downtown Hartford was purchased and developed for this new business venture, then expanded, and then expanded two more times since! Once Mr. Gustafson retired from his teaching career, he and his wife ran the business full time, Spring until Fall, with the help of their children during their college breaks.
After working as an accountant for a CPA firm several years, their son Eric began his own accounting business and joined Gustafson Pool and Spa as a partner in 1990. Eric and his wife are now the sole owners, with the help of a fully trained and loyal staff.
