Hired JADE to do a second inspection on my home which he (Buck) did and I paid for. He was very to point when it came to getting paid. He brought a man with him that he went to college with to assist in the inspection. He said my home was in great shape but would send a report within a day or so. I still haven’t received the report. It got to the point of me reaching out to the man he brought with him asking about my report. That guy told me to text him and I did, I never heard back from him either. He also said to me, “Buck hasn’t changed much from college if you catch my drift.” I can

Wanted to work with him but ended up getting the run-around. I purchased a home and wanted to make sure there were no damages within the house as far as structural damage. He came out (With another gentleman) and confirmed there we werent any. He never gave me a report and just said "If your husband has questions have him call me" . Now Im finding out he cant even give me a report. I literally paid over 300.00 for someone to do a 5 minute inspection for my house and it was not thorough. What a disappointment ! If you can and are in the Nashville TN area, go to someone else. They may cost a little

Don’t waste your money or time dealing with these people. Reached out to Buck, scheduled a time for him to come and inspect a home foundation more in depth after our first home inspection noticed some things. We agreed to pay his rate of $300 and he agreed to provide a report of his findings (as all inspectors do). A week goes by and the invoice has been paid, but still no report. I reach out and he tells me he is in Nashville and will do it later that evening. A few more days go by and we still don’t have the report. I reach out again and he asks me if I remember what I wanted him to address

JADE inspected our newly-purchased home for structural issues. Buck was professional and very knowledgeable. He offered me two options (one with reports) and one without. When we did find the need to shore up some supports under the house, we had his guys do the work. Doug and Dante were very professional and performed great work, fixing support issues at our house. And all of this was priced exceptionally for the amount of labor. They offer a great service and, in my experience, are honest and efficient. We will use them again if the need arises.

I called JADE Engineering after a builder gave me his name and recommended Buck Durham (the owner) as an honest engineer. Buck returned my call the same day and came out within hours of my call. He looked at all my issues, took pictures, assured me that the cracks in my brick were not a structural problem and went home to write a report. My report was ready within a day, complete with pictures and explanations that even a I could understand.
What was a possibly sale-killing issues was quickly and professionally explained. I highly recommend JADE engineering.

I found Jade after searching google for an engineer firm. After hiring them, and paying the up front charge, a family member that is a realtor told me about bad experiences people have had with them. I waited three weeks for a repair design, just to receive a repair to the wrong wall. The Engineer (also owner of Jade) that created the design never stepped foot on my property. His design was based on pictures he had someone come take. When I contacted Jade about the mix-up they denied they made a mistake. I had another engineer, that was local to Birmingham, and new the area and the historic home

Mr. Durham was quick to come and inspect my house and put my fears at rest. Home inspectors can get everyone so riled up and upset about every little thing--it was nice to have an authoritative voice telling me that the cracks in my brick were not a problem. He got the report to me quickly. Considering how much I would have had to pay a "foundation specialist", his fee is well worth the money. I highly recommend Jade Engineering.

I had JADE Engineering do a pre-buy home inspection on a property that I am in the process of acquiring. They were extremely knowledgeable and very courteous.
