Kids usually gravitate towards the martial arts because it is fast-paced and exciting. Master Karen Bowman, our owner, is a 7th Degree Black Belt in ITF and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kukkiwon (and a local mom) who has been teaching for 19 years.

Little Dragons learn movement, coordination, basic taekwondo (blocks, punches and kicks) and values (courtesy and perseverance). Our beginner students learn open-hand forms and certain one-steps that include kicks, strikes and blocks. One-steps are a simplified form of attack and defense designed to prepare the student for actual light-contact point sparring.

Bowman Martial Arts in Folsom, CA is offering a referral program for new signups. Any current student referring a new student will receive credit towards their next testing fee. The Pacific Five Star Tournament Circuit was created by several martial art schools with the goal of bringing students together to compete and put their martial art skills into practical use. The Tournament Circuit is based on the true spirit and traditional values of the martial arts, and has been created to offer a safe and positive competition experience for everyone involved.
