About Us
Report
We would like to provide those in our community with a little bit of history about our business. During this time, there were thirteen funeral homes competing for business in the Davenport area. There are currently five funeral homes/mortuaries serving the cities of Davenport and Bettendorf. In keeping with Halligan's Irish Heritage, most of the funerals and wakes in the early 1900's were held in the homes of the deceased.

How much does a funeral cost
Report
One of the most common questions we are asked is, "How much is a funeral?" or "How much does a cremation cost?" and our answer to both is, "Every service is different and the cost depends on what each family chooses." Of course, we have set prices for our basic services, but the cost varies for our caskets, vaults, cremation products, number of death certificates, church stipends, cemetery costs and of course, obituaries.
Burial Products
Report
If a person is going to be buried, they are going to need a casket and, depending on the cemetery, possibly a burial vault. We have a wide selection of caskets we offer our families, including some from the Trappist monks at the New Melleray Abbey in Peosta. Some cemeteries require a burial vault. Burial vaults or grave liners, also known as burial containers, are commonly used in traditional, full-service funerals.
