Steve attended the University of Florida and graduated with a degree in Construction Management. Upon graduation, Steve worked for a few local builders and became frustrated with the reproduction of designs and in environment that did not inspire creativity. Steve then worked for Babcock and Wilcox (B&W) a global engineering, construction, controls and equipment manufacturer based locally in Akron, OH.
While Steve was enjoying his time at B&W and gaining increasing levels of responsibility, he still had a passion for home building. That's when Steve and his dad, since retired, decided to form SEM Construction as 50/50 partners. Since that time Steve has left B&W and is majority owner of SEM. Steve is also the creative eye behind all of SEM Construction's builds.
