Schroeder-Lauer Funeral home was founded by Richard H. "Dick" Schroeder in 1941. At the age of 12, his family moved to Lansing, Illinois. Dick attended Indiana Avenue Grammar School in Lansing, and in 1930 graduated from Thornton Fractional High School in Calumet City, Illinois. Dick continued on to Worsham College of Mortuary Science from where he graduated in 1938.

The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation. Set-up for limited visitation of an unembalmed body. Limited to Immediate Family Only for up to one (1) hour during regular business hours (9 AM - 5 PM).
