Ed Ekdahl started Ekdahl Real Estate in 1980, while continuing the Ekdahl family's cotton operation in Jones County. In 1996, his son John started his real estate career as a sales agent for Ekdahl Real Estate after graduating from Texas A&M University. Over the years, John helped grow the business recruiting several agents and obtaining his broker's license.
