Dr. Priya Dahanukar is a certified veterinary acupuncturist, and we are proud to have her on our staff as one of the few veterinary acupuncturists in the area. For smaller animals, the inserting of acupuncture needles is essentially painless. Larger needles for large animals may cause some pain, but once the needles are in place, there should be no pain felt.
